I figured this was probably just semi-thoughtless copywriting based on the facts that Dixon co-wrote Eternity and Neil co-wrote Easy Answers.

I pre-0rdered this. Mainly because it’s the most exciting GD release since Infrared Roses.

I keeed, I keeed. Actually, buying it because I was at many of the shows these were taken from, and am curious as to what Dave thinks are good representative versions of these songs.

Have it on hold at my library. Doubt I will ever buy it, but looking forward to hearing it.

I never knew Neil co-wrote Easy Answers. I’m shocked.

Neil performed the song with Weir & Wasserman on Rob W's Trios album but he didn't co-write it.

I think Weir's sound in the 90s could be described as 'fuzzed out' though I don't think it sounds much like Neil
    Young.
Somewhere I read a story about Neil Young pitching a couple of lines of the lyrics, even if he's not credited.

He used to be customarily credited as co-author in whatever sources there were, along with Bob Bralove and Wasserman...

I don’t think I’ve ever owned anything it was officially released on to see a writing credit.

I’m must say, now that the release is upon us I’m fairly excited about getting this. I can’t imagine it will be in heavy rotation but certainly some new and different material to sit with for a bit.

Not by the GD. Per the link I posted, there's a version on Wasserman's album, and a version by The Other Ones appeared on some kind of promo album called Furthur Most.

I have no idea whether that's accurate/comprehensive or not.

My memory was that Neil had a writing credit, although I don’t own a copy of Trios so can’t check to confirm. I should probably pick up a copy someday.

Can't check my copy of Trios at the moment (it's at home, I'm at work), but allmusic credits Bralove/Hunter/Wasserman/Weir/Welnick
As does deaddisc: Grateful Dead Family Discography: Trios

So that's three reference sources all saying the same.

There’s some information about that in the liner notes of The Best of Bob Weir. I’ll quote myself quoting it:

Is it too soon to start bitching about dead net shipping?

I mean tomorrow is the street date and if the preorder was going to get to me by that time a shipping notice might be needed.

If the LP's are not in my mail box by tomorrow they will certainly hear from me ;-) I mean, isn't the whole point of pre-oredering something is so you get it on release date?

I only started with Final Fantasy 2, which had most of the classes, but your characters were all determined by the story.

According to Blair Jackson's bio, Garcia made it a condition of carrying on that they had to come up with new material.

I found that through this forum, he was a member here. His youtube account is also where I first heard the original mix of Aoxomoxoa.

To be fair though, the Grateful Dead made a couple of attempts at the 'would-be final album' that gave him a basis for his compilation.
The first comment on that Youtube clip says kind of what I was going to say 'As much as I disliked this tune back in the day, Jerry always wailed on it.'

('Kind of' because I actually liked this tune, my first exposure to it was at my first and only show; unlike a lot of Brent's tunes I thought it was a fit with their overall sound and vibe.)

Having listened to a bunch of them since, 'Jerry always wailed on it' is accurate, his solo on this particular version is pretty sweet.

Like those that carry on about Donna, I get distracted by Vince’s high pitched vocals and can’t hear much else. Just stop yelling at me, bro.
