    Arrival was a great film.

I was extremely disappointed by Avatar, the story was simplistic and cliched.
It Chapter 2 was disappointing, it was too long and had too many flashbacks.
The last James Bond film was disappointing.

    Avatar?
Correct, after all the hype deserved to be better.
Chapter 2 ( first one didn’t scare me)
Bond? All DC JB films failed to impress me, except for CR. No Time To Die? Dont think I’ll even bother going to see.

Let's tell it like it is...
'Prometheus ' was dull and' Covenant ' barely made sense.

Well, sure, but I asked Ghostworld what movies he loved. It's an offshoot. Conversations don't stay in the same lane. And so on.

I was kinda disappointed in Hereditary, in that I liked a good deal of it, but it didn't satisfy me at the end. Same for The VVitch. I felt the same way about Midsommar. I liked good portions of all three, but at the end, I just didn't quite feel it. I'm not sure I can articulate why exactly. Well, for Hereditary I can, I think it just went off the rails at the end.

Yeah. I liked the atmosphere. I liked the acting. I was intrigued. At the end, I was like, "Alright."

Liked it myself. One of the advantages of watching films in the cinema, perseverance.:)

I'm sure I'll find others, but one that stands out to me is Avatar. I was expecting something truly mind blowing...and instead, thought of it as uncredited sci-fi remake of Dances With Wolves. The movie was visually rich - but the story and screenplay were inert and predictable. I was not encouraged hearing James Cameron intends to make sequels...

Odd Avatar is 11 years and no sequels, not complaining mind.:)
