John Albarian, the DVD producer, has this to say over at the DVD's website:
There is a big .pdf announcement over at Pioneer Entertainment with lots of details, including:
    MSRP: $24.98.

Wow........sounds great! That Ox audio feature sounds too cool!

Randy Bachman said when he toured with Ringo, they all had to wear ear plugs because Entwistle was so LOUD!

Well, not all of them;) Wonder what's up with that "long lost recording of Ringo Starr"?

BTW, between this and Sierra Madre and Robin Hood, 9/30 is shaping up to be good day for DVD releases!

We noticed! Wow, they certainly encoded a ton of extras into this DVD. If this were a LaserDisc in 1993, this package would have cost $50, with fewer lines of rez!

This should make history. The deepest and most creative direction in reissuing a music Home Video. Who would'a thought it would be TKAA.

The text of that Pioneer press release was edited down from a longer version. It's a fun read, and quite a refreshing change from the cut-and-dried tone of your typical hype piece. (I like that bit about Daltrey's "funny antidotes" -- I didn't know watching the Who was poisonous. ;))

Anyway, I am so looking forward to the Special Edition.

I've had this release on my Wish List at Amazon for years it seems.

Can't wait to have it in my grubby hands.

Just in time!! The label on my VHS tape is nearly worn completely off and I was due for another purchase (would have been third tape). Can't wait!

I have the godawful "Special Edition" VHS tape(with wobbly sound and editied content), and am also due for an upgrade. Sounds like this will fit the bill nicely. I AM THERE!

Yeah, I bought the BMG laserdisc about 13 years ago or so. Some of it isn't very enjoyable. Some of the best parts taken out, most of the program is sped up from the made-for-tv edit... Ugly.
