Listening to my Classic Records and George Piros Led Zeppelin I Vinyl and both have different right/left channel reversal. Which is the correct order for this album and how does this happen during mastering?

There are also some issues with ABBA albums...

Plenty of flipped channels on the recent ZZ Top albums box as well. Not sure how that happens...

IIRC, "Come together" on Beatles - "Anthology" (3).

The best thing in this vein:

"Fragile" on Sting's remastered German CD has its channels reversed while the rest is correct.

FYI, I believe this has been covered a number of times already.

Classic Records got it wrong then! Not what i would expect from an Audiophile reissue label.

Some people claim both ways. I feel that the Marino CD remasters all have the correct channels. I think they finally got it right (the channels, anyway) with those issues. That is what I go by. Don't quote that as gospel, though. :)

Initial pressings of Prince's 1999 album had the channels reversed on the first few songs.

Thanks to this forum I learned that (almost?) the entire Songs Of Freedom boxed set from Bob Marley had the channels reversed! Thankfully I have the software to correct these issues!

The guy who plugged in the tape deck wasn't careful with the right and left cables?

Lou Reed's Rock and Roll Animal and Lou Reed Live were both recorded at the same December 1973 New York gig. The guitars of Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner are split into the left and right channels, and they are the other way round on Lou Reed Live.

Incidentally, isn't it time that these two albums were reissued properly as the whole gig, in the right order?
