Hmm, and they have it listed with the same track list as Bull Moose (though Zia just has placeholder artwork)... curious! I would really like to have the '99 recording on vinyl, so this bodes well for me
Same. I'm kind of disappointed, because they almost always have a few selections that are instant buys for me.
Ditto. First Rocktober that I will be a 100% pass. That's ok though. Others seem excited and my wallet needed a break after a few mofi one-step purchases. I can recover just in time for Black Friday
Nothing interesting to me either. I don’t mind though, I’ve got an expensive couple of months between BN Classics, Tone Poets, and AS Verve/Impulse.
This is a pretty weak year if you’re not a Echo & The Bunnymen fan. Luckily I am and those Echo albums are getting pretty hard to find. Still this list is underwhelming to say the least.
With the current backlogs at all of the pressing plants, Rhino’s upcoming Joni Mitchell and Replacements box sets, Black Friday releases, etc., I’m not surprised the Rocktober list is less impressive this time around. I’ve got original pressings of the four Echo & The Bunnymen albums, but am still tempted to pick up these reissues. It’ll be nice to see them back in print, however briefly.
In for Heaven Up Here at least. Hoping it sounds better than the US and Euro copies I have. Might get the other Echos just because.
Now Rhino direct selling colored exclusives of all the Echo albums: https://store.rhino.com/artist/echo-the-bunnymen.html
I sure would like to have some details on the mastering of the Echo and the Bunnymen LPs. Can't find out any info at all. Does this mean they are just the same as the Rhino CDs?
Bummer. Nothing I need that I don't already have. Too bad (for me), I like this series. Between this and the RSDBF list, I'm starting to think my collection is pretty much complete.
IIRC we never really know until they are released. I’m sure there are instances of mastering info known beforehand, but that’s not very common. I’m usually checking here or Discogs before I make a purchase.
We had some information on the Janes Addiction last year before it was released, which is why I was asking...
Despite not knowing anything about the mastering, I ordered Crocodiles and Ocean Rain. If they are better than expected, I'll get Heaven Up Here and Porcupine. Will check in with comments once they arrive.
