I hope they get back to the relatively straightforward plots they had in earlier seasons. The post season four episodes were far too complicated. I could follow them, for the most part, but I found myself trying to keep track of what was going on and not enjoying the program as much. Also, I thought the characters were out of character. Mr. Poopy Butthole is NOT a martial arts expert! OOH-WEE. THAT'S RIGHT, RICK!
it looks like the video is now offline, but I saw the intro today... It's Rick And Morty Babies: The annual Adult Swim April Fools prank has arrived
No way! He’s Mr. Poopy Butthole. Mild-mannered Mr. Poopy Butthole. Rick’s buddy who lives in a little one room apartment. He wouldn’t hurt a fly.
Maybe he didn’t get bitter, but he definitely had to learn how to protect himself and be on guard. I buy that he’s transformed into a martial arts expert. He’s Mr. Poopy Butthole... he can do anything he wants.
Meanwhile, Variety just posted this list: 'Rick and Morty': The 10 Best Episodes Ever - Variety Mr. Meeseeks makes an appearance! Important philosophical tip: “Nobody exists on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere, everybody is going to die… Come watch TV!”
I've just binged the first four seasons on Hulu. What a ride. Hoping that season 5 will also be available... --Geoff
We bought the "uncensored" Season 5 via Amazon Prime and it looks great. Lots of F-bombs, awful sexual innuendo, the works. It's a different experience than the "bleeped" broadcast version. Funniest line in the show for me so far: "I wish I hadn't cloned my genitalia!"
And forgive my excitement, but Adult Swim just posted the complete episode to YouTube as a promotion. My guess is that it'll only be up there a few days. Be warned it is very R-rated, so... be prepared.
On Hulu the first two seasons were bleeped, then it was F-bomb's ahoy for seasons 3 and 4. Now we Aussies love our colourful vernacular, but even I was wincing at some of the language on these episodes --Geoff
