Saw them in Dublin just before Weather Diaries came out and they were great.

Will also get to see them supporting The Cure in June.

    Can. Not. Wait.

Very pumped as well. Was going to preorder but it seems like there’s only an option from the UK. Hopefully there will be an option with cheaper postage.

Hopefully there will be an option with an additional Tomorrow's Shore disc.

  6. Yeah, but: green vinyl! :)

Right, right... might order from Norman Records. Shipping is way cheaper. Isn’t Wichita a US company? Maybe not. Thought when I preordered Weather Diaries it came from the US.

  8. Wichita is a UK label, but they have a US store where you can indeed order the album, including in a variety of bundles for the obsessive.

Ah ok, thanks! I had to google “Wichita Recordings US store” to get to it.

Are you folks really spending $18+ on shipping to the US for the green vinyl? Yikes.

8 bucks from the Wichita US store. A bit better.

***FINALLY*** figured it out. There's a teeny tiny banner that says 'Go to the US store' which takes you to:
    Webstore Main

Also - initially it looks like there are only bundles; if you look at just the record itself (you may need to use the Artist search), there are options for the black or green vinyl and the CD.

I just preordered from Amazon for $33 CDN. I'd like to support the label/artist direct presales but the shipping is usually exorbitant to Canada.

Just ordered the 2-LP standard black version from my local store for $23 and will pick it up this Thursday... Really looking forward to this, been taking Weather Diaries for a couple spins lately and have Carnival of Light and Nowhere on deck for this afternoon...

I shelled out for the remaster of Nowhere (single disc) a little while ago. It perplexes me why bands who seem to have control of their masters let this stuff go out of print. Do they not want money? cc Kevin Shields.

Most reviews are pretty good, some stronger than others. It appears some are saying the album is top heavy, which is what I thought of Weather Diaries. The first half was strong and then it lost steam. I have only heard about 20 seconds of one song from "This Is Not A Safe Place", and don't even remember it really. I never pay attention to Pitchfork's reviews, check out their love for Tool...

I have the vinyl hitting my local store today but will not be able to pick it up until tomorrow. But I am looking forward to it and looking forward to what others have to say about the new record as well.

Felt the same way about Weather Diaries, scotti. Good overall, but, some of the ideas in the second half could have used a little bit more time in the oven. Anyway, this thread is about the new album, so I'll keep it there. Good to see you in this thread!

Anyone heard it yet? I'm off to pick my copy up shortly and will be cranking it up later today...

I was hoping it would’ve shown up by today at least. Preordered the green vinyl through Wichita US.
