This may have already been brought to the forum's attention, but...

Some guy in Israel is trying to sell nonexistent 12" picture discs for 300 dollars each. They're all quite obviously nothing more than images superimposed on a turntable. Better yet, the pictures are often warped or stretched to fit in the circular space. It's good for a laugh.

    (No returns, of course!)

My favourite is this Everly Brothers record in which the picture has been superimposed over his thumb:

And yet he/she has over 100 positive feedbacks, no negative feedbacks, and many of the feedbacks for picture discs. How is that possible? (Not arguing with you, just curious).

I considered mentioning that in the post. There must be ways to fabricate positive feedback. Perhaps he bought a bunch of hacked accounts.

So what's going on here? The listing says they are "single sided". So is he gluing a picture on one side, or what?

He takes a picture of either an empty turntable or a clear record and uses Photoshop or some similar software to add in a picture. The product does not exist. Would anyone care to buy this none-of-a-kind "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" picture disc I just created in Microsoft Paint in under ten minutes?

There's another Israeli seller (possibly the same person) doing the exact same thing, doing fake picture disk pressings of Cannibal Corpse, Ozzy Osbourne, Manowar, George Michael, The Clash, Hypocrisy, Savage Grace, etc.

    The seller's name is ad_2s9efxcrl (ad_2s9efxcrl | eBay )

They are odd things. Do they exist? Well, for £300 or whatever, I could get one made, send it to the buyer, and have a 50% profit at least.

I've seen these, they have a couple of Runaways picture discs for sale. I just figured they were bootlegs.

Either it's the same person with another account because they keep getting shut down, or multiple people are in on this. Even the template turntable pictures are identical. Sure hope no one is falling for this.

Some idiots out there really are buying these thinking its genuine. Hate seeing his items in my search results.

There are other sellers, who are probably connected to the seller linked to above, on eBay selling these and I remember seeing them ages ago as well.

Just add it to the junk pile. There are people out there who create fakes but at least they put the effort in. On the other hand, you got to give this guy credit; he's not even trying and he's still managing to make money!

I have had the screen freeze after I bid with a couple seconds left and when it finally came back up I had lost the bid by a 62 seconds! Sniper program that I had heard about has happened several times lately and there isn't anything you can do about that either. Lots of fraud and scamming going on and I find it hard to believe EBay doesn't know this is happening!

I see shirts like this every now and then too. If there's 100% feedback, they must be making them. They just never took a photo of the finished product.

There are quite a few out there. Many NSFW discs thrown in for good measure. Must be a local industry.
