Yes, and perhaps "Life Begins at 80" as well. ;)

If the first two tracks don't start with "woke up this morning" I don't know if I'll be more delighted or disappointed that Ringo didn't do this three albums in a row! ;)

I remember buying Ringo and Goodnight Vienna albums and It Don't Come Easy and Back Off Boogaloo singles in the 70's. Then I bought Ringo's Rotogravure and never bought another one of his records. It was kind of like Michael Corleone disowning Fredo in the Godfather movie.

There are no economics here, none at all. No one makes money with physical media anymore. The only two reasons I can think of is:

    1. He wants to do it, and as long as it breaks even or loses just a little, no harm no foul.

    2. He needs merchandise to sell at shows, cuz touring is where the money is. But someone else here said he doesn't sell new material at the shows??? So, revert to #1....

    3. Ringo's albums seem to stem from friends dropping by his home studio and adding bits here and there. The creation of these recordings seems to be how he entertains and socializes. Knowing that these aren't aimless jams but songs meant for public consumption probably raises the stakes for the musicians.

I would say that was a variant of my #1, but does go further to explain how he keeps expenses down.

So, it didn't cost much, and doesn't sell much. There aren't any economics involved.

    Y Not?

    EDIT:

    Beat me to it!!! :D

    EDIT:

I like 'Ringo the 4th', and 'Bad Boy' has 'Heart on my Sleeve' and 'Who Needs a Heart?' on it. 'Christmas Album' is good too.

As far as I'm aware, Ringo hasn't rapped yet. So, we still have that to look forward to.

While we wait for a new Ringo album, here's a new song with Richie on the kit:

We don't need much in life, but looking forward to new albums by Ringo, Paul, Dhani, and David Crosby are some of life's true little joys.

I'd like to see Ringo make a collaborative album. Like do a whole record with Ben Harper for instance. With Harper co-writing and singing on all the songs along with Ringo.

Count me as one who has been enjoying Ringo's solo albums consistently since the 90's. So I'm happy for another one.
