Don’t know how Ringo got through the session for “Grow Old With Me”. Hard to listen to it without feeling pretty sad.

The “Red Moon” art was the alternate cover. Very late decision naming the album.....What’s My Name or Red Moon. We all know which won

It was start from scratch-so not like the other ones where they were "playing along with John". Sad nonetheless.

Ringo's very good at changing the cover art of his records at the last minute (usually for the worse). Remember this one and how it ended up?

I still really like the title track and grow old with me... the rest? Haven’t heard it since release day.

One year on from release today.

I still think this is a pretty strong album, but with some filler.

There have been some pretty dubious “promo” CDs from Brazil in recent years. It almost seems as though a bored graphic designer is making up his own creations and selling them to the world...

Anyway, I noticed this one recently from - you guessed it - Brazil.

I’m gonna guess they’re ^^^^ both fake. I tried a barcode scanner and got nothing for either. Still curious if any Brazilians or serious collectors have thoughts on those...

Ringo has some REALLY difficult to obtain promo CDs with unique art, and I kind of like acquiring them!

I’m thinking One, King of Broken Hearts, Imagine Me There, etc...

A couple of years ago a guy started selling 1-track CDs with songs from Egypt Station. He was Brazilian so I asked and he confirmed: none of them were made by the record company. It's probably the same guy creating these Ringo CDs.

I got an Egypt Station cd single probably from the same guy in Brazil. Home Tonight/In A Hurry. I saw two versions of this. But the one from Brazil had a full color/logo cd coating on top of the cd that made it, along with the nice jewel box with full color art, and 'official' copyright warnings (ha!) something nice and fun to have. (The mp3 sound quality was a completely different story).

Yeah, I’m almost tempted by these (especially the second track, which doesn’t really have a physical release, afaik). But not tempted enough!!! :)

While we're discussing Ringo, I'm vaguely recalling he was going to drop a new EP in December. Did I dream that?:)

I don't really remember the December release date but I do know he was working on one.

He made no mention of when he was releasing it. Just shared some tweets while recording...

I thought that was on the last Egypt Station CD I night. Guess I just have the download. I see there was a 7-inch single.

It's impressive how consistently Ringo has been releasing material in recent years.

    2003: Ringo Rama
    2005: Choose Love
    2008: Liverpool 8
    2010: Y Not
    2012: Ringo 2012
    2015: Postcards from Paradise
    2017: Give More Love
    2019: What's My Name
    2021: New EP

    Quantity doesn't mean quality though.

My comment was actually referring to the second bogus (?) Ringo cd-single pictured above (Now The Time Has Come), not the Egypt Station tracks @Sargon was referring to. But I wasn’t very clear in my phrasing...
