Didn't he show up at the Emitt Rhodes Q and A think in 2012 or so? It was hosted by Micheal Des Barres.
Wasn't he also one of the first people to be questioned in the Manson case? He was acquainted with some of the drug dealers who were early suspects.

Michael DesBarres remembers the day of that Q&A well (see clip in previous post), and wrote a nice paragraph about Bill that will be part of my article.

Bill’s “Come Down” 45 (released under the Common Cold moniker), one of the truly exceptional moments on the Where the Action Is box set, is included in an upcoming RSD release of highlights from that box set:

h/t to @Pawnmower for the link to the track list.

Still holding out hope someone might have a lead on info about owner(s) of the Tiger Lily album. I’m interested in chatting with individuals with direct knowledge of this, for use in my article for Ugly Things.

Just a brief update on the story I’m writing. Regrettably, due to some personal (not health-related; I’m fine) issues, I’ve been unable to finish the story yet, but Mike Stax at Ugly Things has been very understanding and agreed to publish the piece as soon as it’s ready.
I have uncovered new information regarding the circumstances of Rinehart’s death, which I’ll now be able to include.

Which issue of Ugly Things did the article appear in?

It didn’t. A personal situation forced me to set aside the project.

Yes, you did mention that above, but when another member referred to Ugly Things in your other Bill Rinehart thread, it made me think that it may have been published since you wrote in November about having to temporarily set the article aside. Clearly that's not the case.

Thank you for your work researching Bill. I was a friend of his during my younger days in Venice, CA. I kinda knew he was a musician, but, he played it down with a signature hand wave, laugh and that smile. During those days he would create these beautiful mosaic pots and vases at the Zephyr. I'm saddened to find he passed but extremely happy to see that he is not forgotten.

I hope it's okay to post this, but for anyone who has an interest in the whole Manson thing beyond the usual fare, this interview is really interesting. Focuses on the drug dealers who were the original suspects in the case who were friends/dealers to the murder victims. and Rinehart's relationship with them. Cass Elliott is thrown in the mix too.
