Saw him a couple years ago standing by his Bentley in Woodstock. Spoke briefly. Couldn’t believe how young he looked.

RIP Michael. He did a lot for the music, which I love. I'll be grateful to him perpetually.

Sad news indeed. Like said before: a rock music / counter culture icon.

I met him at his book signing in New York City (in 2009). He signed my book and original Woodstock program.

I've watched that film probably a hundred times, always thought that was one cool guy, riding a horse and a motorcycle, and running the show.
One of my favorite parts was when he and Artie were being interviewed about losing some serious cash, but they're both smiling. Michael says "Look what you got there man, you couldn't buy that for anything". I know he's a business man by trade, but I believe him.

I saw Michael Lang in a Barnes & Noble in NJ, but I regret that I didn't approach him and talk to him. A cool guy. RIP

Major bummer, indeed! He always seemed to look a lot younger than he acutally was. Cool in my book! The pix of him on the motorbike at Woodstock are icons in my world. RIP!

I’m surprised that he and Artie Kornfeld aren’t in the rock and roll hall of fame. Such a historic event as Woodstock and the organizers haven’t even been nominated.

Sad to see, he seemed like a good guy, always smiling and soft spoken. Too bad the 50th thing didn't work out

It was a social success but I don't think that it was a business successful as the promoters lost a lot of money. Does anyone know more about it?
