No....actually you said he was horrible, than you said he was great. Maybe a little sensitivity.

Here's a very thoughtful reminiscence from a woman who actually was Ricky Jay's girlfriend for a year or two in the 1970s. Apparently, Jay was a very nice, intelligent, interesting person in real life as well as being a fascinating performer.

Sir you have had one very interesting upbringing and vocation!

 

One of my favorite X-Files episodes features Ricky Jay as a failed magician involved in an elaborate bank heist. When he tells the agents he lost money playing poker, they ask how a magician could ever lose at poker. "You're asking me why I don't cheat at cards? Who raised you?" Very funny performance.

 

I wish I could take credit for the childhood, but my parents were responsible for that.

 

I seriously broke up on that one.
