Well said! Baretta was my favorite back in the day. Blake was like The Rolling Stones………he was real! RIP Robert…. Beave
A couple of nights ago, I watched Slightly Dangerous (1943), I recognized Blake as a little kid who hits Robert Young on the foot with a hammer. I was a big fan of Barretta in the '70s. Blake was always a good guest on the Tonight Show. RIP.
He was also found by a jury that he was "more likely than not" responsible for his wife's murder. Just added for fair balance, not to dig in on the subject in a RIP thread.
Oh man Robert Blake "Baretta". I use to watch this over Petrocelli. He looks very good for his age and seems he had a very happy long life!. RiP.
He just passed away too. D...n time flies. Barry Foster Newman "Petrocelli" RiP was an American actor of stage, screen and television known for his portrayal of Kowalski in Vanishing Point, and for his title role in the 1970s television series Petrocelli. He was nominated for Golden Globe and Emmy awards. Born: 1930, Boston, MA Died: May 11, 2023, New York, NY Spouse: Angela Newman Height: 6′ 0″
I enjoyed his performance as Jimmy Hoffa going up against Bobby Kennedy, I think it was a mini-series?
→ Sometimes I like to make those "Death Connections" when you see a movie and at least 2 of the stars die within close proximity of one another, you know? For instance, with the 1976 Disney movie NO DEPOSIT, NO RETURN you had stars Darren McGavin and Don Knotts dying a day apart in 2006. ROBERT BLAKE died March 9 and an actor who co-starred with him in "Busting", MICHAEL LERNER, died April 8th. So if you watch BUSTING (1974) you'll see R. Blake and M. Lerner.
