An amazing song written in 1935 with many interpretations over the years. I first became aware of the song when Budgie recorded a version in 1973 and this remains my favourite. I know Them, AC/DC and Aerosmith also recorded 'rock' interpretations of it , is there anymore you know of as I'd like to bear them ?

Is this the same song Lennon played with Zappa and called "Well" on the live bonus disc for Some Time in NYC?

With the recurring line "Well you know I love you baby please don't go"

Not really a "rock" cover but it's with the Stones who couldn't be more rock:

Lots of people have covered Baby Please Don't Go; these were the first to pop into my head...

No. The Lennon cover was a completely different song that was really titled "Well (Baby Please Don't Go)". It was originally done by The Olympics in 1958.

The more famous "Baby Please Don't Go" was an old blues tune, popularized by Big Joe Williams in 1935.

I know the OP already talked about Aerosmith but how about Aerosmith with Led Zeppelin from the R&R HOF. I think that's worthy of a shout-out:

    Them for the win.
Sounds like Nuge and the Dukes “were inspired” by their version....

Not “rock music” but Muddy Water’s version rocks.....!
