    My US "The Rod Stewart Album" (cut by Gilbert Kong, with "Thin" on the lower left of the front cover) sounds a bit more transparent than my UK (small swirl) Vertigo. I can see why Mercury didn't release it as "Raincoat" in the US, but that's a much better cover.
