If it was 'Me + Them' I'd buy it. Us is a grotesque thought. One man against the whole world. I like that better. :wantsome:

They were an incredible band, but I wasn't responding to that idea.

Yeah, because when the Floyd's finances went belly-up in the late 70's, he didn't have enough original material ready for one album.

    He had enough for two.

Was that what Amused To Death and Ca Ira were about, or are we still stuck in the 80's?

There was an interview he did at Desert Trip where he said he doesn't have a title for the new album and he plans to finish it by Spring. So I'm assuming this is the title for the upcoming World Tour.

Ah I see... that's a good tour name. Males sense given the show I saw at Desert Trip.

Pink Floyd is my all time favorite band. With that said I am tired of this guy and the ego. The other three contributed to the success of the band.

I've come appreciate that he's more resigned to that fact than ever.

I think the most important thing is: Will Roger be autographing them in his inimitable style again?

I assume that Waters labeling himself as the "creative genius of Pink Floyd" is in response to Gilmour presenting himself as "the voice and guitar of Pink Floyd". Of course Waters could have been more modest and called himself "the bass-player, sometime vocalist and main lyricist of Pink Floyd", but that's a lot less catchy...:winkgrin:

Yer not wrong, but it's worth pointing out that without Waters writing the majority of the songs, the other three would have had nothing to contribute to.

"Us & Them ... from the creative genius of Pink Floyd". By Jove, you're right: Waters really has moved on!

I spent a lot more time the last 2 years listening to The Endless River, a truly timeless album, than I ever spent listening to The Wall, even though it was a truly adolescent album that came out when I was truly adolescent.

Unless you include time I heard the 2 hits playing on radios and other sources I didn't control.

Wright and Gilmour could have contributed their songs to Floyd, as opposed to recording solo albums after Animals. Let's just not not pretend that they did nothing.

From the creative genius of Pink Floyd?
What an arrogant bozo is our Roger.
Pink Floyd was more about the creative musical genius of Rick Wright and Dave Gilmour than anything else.
There lies the classic Pink Floyd sound. Ok Roger added his apocalyptic themes into the mix, but when you take the classic Pink Floyd sound away, what are you left with?

I wonder if it's a film of some sort. Doesn't really 'feel' like a tour announcement or teaser.

Hopefully it won't be like the live 'Wall' film he released recently. Just gets going and then a quick cut to Roger weeping in his Bentley. Just gets going and then a quick cut to Roger driving his Bentley through the countryside. Sigh...

    Cheers, SLuggy

Yeah yeah, About Face is in the same league with The Wall. I'll throw my copy away and get a Fictitous Sports instead. Good lord...

Roger can "move on" from having been in Pink Floyd when Gilmour does. Which will never happen.

Were Amused To Death and Ca Ira about "daddy and the war?"
