You think TM will settle for only one outrageous service charge per ticket? Hell no...

As much as I'd like to see the Stones again, I think I'm going to pass on this. Shoot, it sounds like the 5-6 hour drive to Foxborough, Ma. would be a lot less aggravation. But still, I'll pass.

I hope they have regular Canadian dates at some point...

My guess is that hot Canadian band Glorious Sons will be part of this shindig. They have no
June dates scheduled and they opened for the Stones in, what, France, I believe.

Don't count on it. Recent Stones tours top out at around 15-16 shows and this new show, which is actually something of a surprise, makes it 17 for this 2019 tour.

My parents are going to the show at Gillette Stadium in June...was a Christmas gift from my mum to my dad (they're both big Stones fans). I'm jealous as the Stones are the one big band from that era I've always wanted to see but haven't...however, being empty-nesters they can afford it...I'm a husband and father of four so I can't!:laugh::laugh:

With it being billed as Canada Rocks, and 2 PM start, it sure looks like a festival.

The New Orleans festival did it right: If you bought a "brass pass" to the festival (which benefits the heritage foundation and WWOZ), the pass covers the usual seven days. You also get a link that allows you to buy a Stones Day ticket at face value, no website crap and no scalping. And for that $200 you also get to see Tom Jones, Ziggy Marley, Mavis Staples, Ivan Neville and the others who play that day.

Like the song says, "It's the last fair deal goin' down."

It is basically completely dishonest and they know exactly what they are doing, it has nothing to do with fees. You reserve tickets at one price, they say someone else took them, and they offer exactly the same tickets in the same area at a higher price. Outrageous. If you reserve tickets they should be exactly that, RESERVED. How can someone else then take them? Nonsense and a scam. Any band with any integrity wouldn't use them.

I learned about 25 years ago what a s*** show the concert ticket scene is. I lined up hours early and was 4th in line and only managed balcony seats for a Massey Hall concert. The three guys in front of me were obviously homeless (one I had seen many times panhandling). Each guy bought the maximum of tickets and paid cash to the penny (remember those).

I'm.....confused. Why would the Stones add the Zac Brown Band (a stadium act themselves)
to the concert in Jacksonville? Are ticket sales lagging?

JAX and Glendale, Ariz., are considered to be the 2 slow-selling venues. Aside from that, is there a problem with adding a stadium act as an opener? Seems the Stones can't please all of the people all of the time. (I don't know anything about Zac Brown. Maybe there isn't much crossover.)

Stones nearly always have big acts as supports.

Indeed. Even a band as big as Metallica has opened for the Stones!

Rumor has it that Zac's ever present hat covers a tattoo of a Some Girls era Jagger.

As list of the acts which have opened for the Stones over the years would likely be quite impressive.

Hoping they add lucky dips before shows. Maybe we will see it with Miami soon.

The Stones have had some solid - and not always predictable - opening acts over the years, especially for the larger stadium shows. Since 1989, I've caught the Strokes opening for them in Hartford, John Mayer in DC, the Black Eyed Peas and Sheryl Crow for various Boston shows...

They've never been a cheap date, but the Stones know how to put together a good night of music.
