And after it is sold they usually say it's in stock at supplier with a little longer wait time.

I picked up the Japanese import version at a local indie shop this afternoon. Looks like you can also get 'em for about $44 from importcds and MovieMars through through their Amazon stores.

My copy was shrinkwrapped. The wrap can actually stay on for you OCD'ers; just cut a slit along the top edge, as the packaging is top-loading.

“Confession the blues” is best blues compilation ever. No discussion on how it was mastered. But it sounds incredible...

"Confession the blues", is that a Jimi Hendrix, Dagger release? Did you buy it on Experience Hendrix's site? Is it a CD or vinyl?

“Confessin the Blues” is a blues compilation compiled by The Rolling Stones with 10% of the proceeds going to Willie Dixon’s Blues Heaven Foundation.

I wonder what the cause of that mistake was. I found it so annoying that I returned mine to Amazon. Item not as described. They gave me a full refund.

Re the BB 8 inch from Japan. Very nice but I was hoping there would be a full replica of the white invite sleeve and that it would match Satanic size wise. Ah well still a great release and nice to have.

  14. The larger size possibly has to do with the included flexi disc.

That appears to be the problem. They could have made the flexi disc smaller. Usually they are smaller.

No, but these Japanese hybrids have got a SACD layer and the domestic release hasn’t.

Just got my copy. What boggles my mind is that they didn't add the '68 singles to the second disc even though there are reproductions of the sleeves included. I realize that at least three of the four songs are available on the Stray Cats disc from the Mono box set. Is No Expectations from the BB fold down the proper single version?

Ludicrous really. Just like leaving Hey Jude/Revolution off of the White Album deluxe.

That one I get. They just did a remix of 1 three years ago. Maybe they have plans for Past Masters

But those remixes aren't in high res on the bluray. The ones on the 1 bluray were television inferior recordings.

I'm not sure what "1" has to do with it. Keeping in mind both 1) the White Album box has outtakes of Hey Jude and Revolution and 2) the Pepper box has Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane (outtakes, mono mixes, and stereo remixes).

I received an Amazon Warehouse open copy of the Japan version that I APPARENTLY ordered on New Years Day. It has a few small marks on one disc, but I'll probably keep it. I'm still confused and trying to catch up with this thread. LOL.

Does the fact that this is Ludwig-mastered and that it has a new mono version on 45rpm count for nothing? Is there anywhere where people discuss the qualities of the Ludwig mastering over others?

Why should it count for anything?
