I have the mono cd box and the mono vinyl box along with the Hi res download and 7 inch style sleeves box from Japan. I have not noticed any real differences on any tracks and am assuming all 4 products use the same versions/mixes/edits/mastering etc. Is that correct?

It would be baffling if it wasn’t.

Thanks. It is always baffling for me. I guess I should really ask are there any missing UK single a and b sides (different edits etc) from these releases? I have made up my own chronological UK singles file from the download. Unfortunately I do not own all the UK singles from 63 to 71 to compare.

The stereo mix of Everybody Needs Somebody To Love is still unreleased digitally.

Heart of Stone and 19th Nervous Breakdown are modern remixes.

Isn't Paint It Black also different to the original single?

Paint It Black on the CD's I have:
    Mono 3:45 - Singles Collection 1989 CD & 2002 SACD.
    Stereo 3:24 - Hot Rocks 1 1985 London W. German CD & Big Hits 2 2002 SACD.
However on the US Aftermath Mono Box it is 3:24.

Yes as a Mono mix and not the fold-down that is on the Mono Box.

I have an old boot cd with all the original UK singles on it. I only have about half of the Stones UK 63 to 71 Decca singles but may well try and buy the rest. Then I guess I will make my own digital transfer of the singles. I have not done an A/B of Paint It Black on the mono box but it would be disappointing if it is not a genuine mono mix.

    Paint It Black isn't a fold-down.

Thoroughly recommend the vinyl box...not cheap, but well worth it.

Lukpac, So the US Aftermath in the Mono Box used the Mono mix and the rest of the album is a fold-down? I'm confused or did not read your prior breakdown of this set properly.

Whole album is dedicated. The original mono LP was a fold down.

I don't think the UK Decca 7" version of "Paint It Black" has appeared on CD. That was my interpretation of previous comments on this box.

Previous CD releases had a longer fade. The mono box has a fade that approximates the 45.

But it isn't the exact same version - it's recreated?

KinkySmallFace1991 Will you come back to me, Sweet Lady Genevieve?

It's recreated, yes, but most likely from the same dedicated mono master.

So I suppose they couldn't find the original single master. I think previous comments by Lukpac suggested it wasn't the exact length of the Decca 45. Personally, I would favour a disc dub instead of "recreating" a specific edit.

It's not a specific edit, it's just the fade.

Without looking back, I believe I just said the fade had been done digitally. I don't know the history of the mix and mastering, but what was done saved a tape generation, it would be preferable.

We compared Let it Bleed mono from mono box set to the Let it Bleed stereo dsd, on vinyl. Mono with Miyajima Premium be on Thorens 124,stereo with garrard 301 and spu cart. Mono sounded better.

Why? If there is a master tape but it's just faded out for the single, that would be preferable to dubbing a disc.
