Well, no it was custom, as the standard London inner sleeve of the era features advertisements for the other LPs on London / Parrot / Deram family of labels. And I believe it is a pink color rather than purple?

ABKCO charged $37.98 for Metamorphosis! I totally regret buying it. My copy was poorly pressed. Not only that, it was just cheap looking.

I refuse to buy any more ABKCO Stones related item unless they step up their game. Ripoff artists. No wonder why they’re hated!

For $99 I’d much rather have a poly lined inner sleeve than that piece of %$#@

Hmmm. I'm unconvinced about that attention to detail, as he obviously does look at the printed side of the sleeve...or maybe you weren't in-depth enough to watch the whole video. Let's just say it's a custom cheap paper sleeve. But not generic!

To my eyes the record itself just looks a bit tacky.

There are plenty of generic poly lined inner sleeves available cheap, I can find you a link to them, but not a copy of this on multicolored vinyl.

The original custom inner sleeve was rather cheap paper as well, not even glossy.

Not that that printed sleeve makes it worth 100 bucks, but this is a generic paper sleeve:

Isn't this just a 50th anniversary repress? Those are around $25.

Something about this video bugs me and I can't quite put my finger on it. I think all Record Store Day items have an inflated price because they are limited editions. This one is extremely limited and a popular title so it is already RARE. I'm sure most record stores have rare $100 plus titles. This one just happens to be a manufactured rarity. I don't think it is advertised as anything other than what it is. Is this a public service message? Is it Black Friday RSD yet? Why open it? It seems like they knew what it was beforehand. Is this a good RSD promotion? A knock on the Rolling Stones themselves? It doesn't surprise me that they would charge a higher price than most, I think they were charging $28 for a concert ticket when everyone else was charging $18.
Even though it is overpriced it will still be in high demand and a lot of people who want it will be disappointed when that less than one copy is not available. I wonder how many will be obtained by bending the RSD rules a bit. All I know for sure is there is one less new copy available.

We still need ABKCO to go the most easy route they have until now refused:

    1. The Rolling Stones (UK)
    2. No. 2
    3. Out Of Our Heads (UK)
    4. Aftermath (UK)
    5. Big Hits (High Tide & Green Grass) (UK)
    6. Between The Buttons (UK)
    7. Their Satanic Majesties Request
    8. Beggars Banquet
    9. Through The Past, Darkly (Big Hits, vol. 2) (UK)
    10. Let It Bleed
    11. Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out!
    12. Past Masters (3 lp loose ends)

All with proper artwork and not some lousy scan of the originals. It can happen, since the original artwork plates still exists.

Sound could be uncompressed and no edits.

It could be so damn EASY!
Still, they have every time chosen a more complicated way or made some head-scratching twists.

You'd be much better spending £535 for this decanter from the Stones Carnaby Shop......matching glasses set for £245.

that's too bad. there are typically some really great releases each year, and they're not blatant rip-offs like this one is.

So glad I dont have the collector mentality like I used to. Artificial scarcity is enough to justify a $100 price tag now?

I'll stick with my $20 dsd pressing.
