Goats Head Soup 1973 The Rolling Stones 2020 CD Super Deluxe Box Set To Play................ Disc 1: Album Remix Disc 2: Rarities & Alternate Mixes
I understand original copies were pulled fairly quickly after its original release and they go for $$$$. I don't know much else about it. Maybe @All Down The Line or @Slick Willie or @John Fell can expand upon that.
Not sure what it goes for these days as it's been a few years since I have needed to look for one, that said i would have assumed there were still plenty of 1st US copies about if searching? I have an uncensored US copy in shrink with it's hype sticker and perhaps paid around $30 USD a half dozen or more years back. I also have uncensored sleeves from Australia & the UK x 2 (So don't forget there is other affordable options) along with a 1st Japanese WLP & a '78 Dutch Orange Vinyl.
Do you mean the cover with the faces on the inner sleeve? The German pressing is not that expensive. I got mine for 20€ some years ago
I'll put this in past tense since I don't text and drive: Listened to Hide Your Love (the alternative mix) on repeat (Spotify high detail, no equalization) from (Deluxe) Goats Head Soup. On my 7 speaker car stereo at least 6 times, cause I just can't get enough of the song. It has it all: stunning Mick performance, thrilling guitars both rhythmic and melodic--and the most extraordinary and forward drumming from the late great Charlie Watts. Unusually for Charlie, he nearly owns the song, which is superb in all his bandmates' facets too. Though on this one, Charlie is my darling.
