Not really trashed but the price of originals of voodoo btb and abb for decent enough copys are around 100 each so for 70 more for 12 more albums isnt too bad

It sure was. I liked it, many thought a monarch (I think) original was better, but as I'm sure you know, minty originals are hard to find.

I bought it and like it. I bought a monarch years ago and think it's better but as you point out a NM monarch is hard to find and pricey.

That’s because the files were terrible.

'Sourced from the original master tapes'
    According to the NME article.

So the first test is whether or not "Fingerprint File" runs at the proper slower speed that is found on the SACD.

I seem to remember the last post 71 box set suffered from the use of compressed digital sources for all albums. This will have to be at least from hi-res flat transfers to be worth the money. Bet they use the same half speed mastering for Exile from 2 years ago. That isn't so bad as some think with more capable playback equipment. Found the same with Blue and Lonesome. Still this needs better sources and mastering to justify a purchase.

I'm going to get suckered into buying this, I can feel it already. Damn you Keith Richards!

Yeah I'm definitely in. If it's done properly, it will be a perfect companion to the Mono box, making the 2008 boxes far inferior.

Yep, so we end up with 4 Stones boxes. Oh well, nobody's pointing a gun at my head.

Well what we need next is the live albums reissued

Actually, if we know the Stones, AND I THINK WE DO, it wont be long before a live box is offered. And, yes, I'm in.

  18. I own them all and would respectfully disagree. Most of those later Records have two or three great tracks. But the rest .... they sit unplayed on the shelf

If this was going to be an Analog Productions 45 RPM set like the SRV Texas Hurricane set, then I'd be first in line ......it would cost a fortune, but hey, you only live once.

I've never seen the previous box sets in person.

Were they "true" to the originals (artwork, etc)? This could just be a license change, tour "item".

I would agree, it just seemed like the comment to make at the time. :D
I never cared much for BTB or ABB outside of a few tracks. Same with DW and SW. I do dig B&L well enough.

It would be nice if they added a Stray Cats type lp set for all the non lp tracks, maybe not all the crazy remixes but tracks like The Storm and Jump on Top of Me. It would also be cool if the added the bonus tracks from Exile and Some Girls without the smashed mastering of the CDs.
