New Year Sale 2020 – Rough Trade

Some pretty great stuff in the markdowns, and free shipping over $49. Order quick — I had three albums in my cart that sold out while I was browsing for more to add.

Joni 75 for $25 is a pretty good deal!

The New Year 2021 sale is live now. I grabbed four items, act quick because these things tend to sell out fast! Bunch of good titles as usual, some not on sale for a very big discount but there ya go:

My total was like $65 and I got free shipping just FYI. I THINK they give it over $50 but I can’t say for sure. Their site is a PITA to navigate on my phone.

Thanks for the heads-up! I bought Douglas Dare, Big Moon, Ruiner and Choir Boy. All on my want list.

Dropped a smallish order. U2 RSD, Springsteen RSD 7” (probably unnecessary, love the Western Stars album though) and an insanely cheap Best Coast 7”. Thanks for posting the reminder!

Has anyone heard the Bob Marley Redemption Song?

    I'm debating it.

Yeah I passed on that U2 at full price but for $10.99 and free shipping I bit on that one too.

I just got the U2 and Best Coast. Hendrix purple haze sold out but considered that.

I decided to resist the Bob Marley that was $11 as well. The U2 vinyl is always done so nicely in terms of quality.

But yeah I wasn't paying $25 for it. 12" RSD releases always seem to hang around and go on sale because they're priced high to begin with.

Rough Trade order arrived about 10 days later. Not bad, I guess. Expertly packaged, all was in great shape.

That U2 12" single was totally worth the price of admission. Glad to have the Springsteen 7" (blue vinyl, nonetheless). Best Coast is a nice gem as well. Great order, thanks @hutlock for sharing the sale details.

Maybe I'll grab the Springsteen. A local store is selling it on sale. like 4 or 5 dollars. Though they also have the full album on sale on black vinyl, maybe I'll just get it. I like Letter To You better though.

My U2 came today. Haven't listened. They do pack well, though the plastic wrap was slightly open on mine.

The Springsteen single is totally redundant. I may never listen to it again but I like the Western Stars album so much that it wasn't a big deal to drop a 5-spot on the single.

All the U2 releases are great. The regular studio albums come with CD-type booklets, but vinyl sized of course.

I have the 80s albums from used shops, but have thought of getting some of the reissues anyway.

One of the shops near me still has the RSD version of Boy. Might need to grab it.

I bought it on RSD. I don't have an original pressing to compare, but I thought it sounded great and the pressing was flawless at least on my copy.
