Lou Reed and Fred Neil for me. Was considering the Motorhead, but I have a UK pressing of On Parole anyway. I can't imagine the RSD reissue will beat that and I have the bonus tracks on CD.

Sign me up for: The Bangles, Fountains of Wayne and George Thorogood for rock titles and Bill Evans, Sonny Rollins and Monty Alexander on the jazz side. No must-haves and so far I have gotten all the titles I have wanted with the other 3 RSD Drops so if I strike out my charge card will cool off and be used for some up coming Tone Poets and Classic Vinyl Reissue Series.

Just opened up the Masters of Reality and the "natural" vinyl looks really cool. Like a foggy clear pressing. I won't get a chance to play it until the weekend though.

Does anyone know what happened to the Lincoln Park release? Seems to have disappeared off the list.

The peaks seem to get a bit distorted on my system. Just me?

You will probably have to place the stylus on the record a few times to catch the grooves of the different tracks. At least that's been my experience with parallel groove records.

The "Meteora" aqua blue disc? Yeah appears to have vanished from retail sites, too.

as far as i know you dont. you just hope your local store has it, and then you hope you get a chance to buy it before they sell out. after that, you'd have to buy it on the 2ndary market at an inflated price....

I was going to get in line early for a shot at one of those Rolling Stones Let It Bleed Collector's Edition records. I know common logic says it's a money grab but at $100 it has to be something super special, right? WRONG. The In Groove posted an unwrapping video yesterday. Watch this:

These will no doubt go up in value but I have better purchases to pursue. It would be cool to own one but (for me) there is so much more out there I can acquire for the money including several Mobil Fidelity releases. Sleeping in Black Friday. I have mild interest in a few items that I will try to buy online but I won't be upset at all if I don't get a single purchase from this event.

I know people, whose opinion I trust, that bought the Cinderella release and said it it is worth seeking out. The packaging was good quality, with printed inner sleeve, and they even used the European Vertigo label on the the album. Color choice and sound quality were also stated as great. The pricing on these aren’t outrageous, either, so for a limited colored vinyl pressing on some out of print records, I don’t see what the issue is. If someone wants to buy an original, let them have at it, and the same for these.

I’m assuming you must work in a record store, considering this isn’t even supposed to be available to own until Black Friday, 11/26.

My wife owns a record store and got most of the stock this past week. I will be listening this weekend, and report back.

And no, nothing is for sale to the public until Black Friday.
