I just received my mono Rubber Soul from a UK ebayer and I noticed that 1 side has San Serif writing on the label and the other side has Roman letters. It came in a very nice early EJ Day jacket.(-4 matrix both sides)
The early pressings supposedly were San Serif & the later pressings were Roman. Is it common to have 2 different label types?

I have another Y&B mono Rubber Soul which has Roman on both sides and came with the G&L jacket. It was overgraded by the seller so this copy is going to be a nice replacement. :)

Sure does sound like a nice replacement for your other copy. My original mono Rubber Soul has the -4 matrix both sides and the G&L sleeve. I'd need to check the typeface but I'm pretty sure it's Roman both sides.

    Cheers
