I've posted these years ago. Neil Diamond at a Bang record session.
A UNI recording session.
No way. Never with that mic. Staged.
Yeah, I guess you're right. Never noted that. Also, would he record with the horns so close to his mic?
I thought it was a session because it doesn't look like a show, and the back of the heads in the foreground reminded me of when guests would sit in on a recording session.
That's an amazing sounding API console. Also, look at the rack of 1176s. Nice!
Hanna-Barbara control room around 1964.
Can't remember the name of the engineer, darn it. Anyone know?
Neat. Hanna-Barbara did their own sound? Interesting. Do you know if that was for music, voice acting or both?
After they moved into their own place (right off the 101 fwy) they did EVERYTHING in house. Must have been neat!
That last picture (is he yawning?) looks a lot like Jeff Tweedy.
Left-to-right: Alan Reed, Jean Vander Pyl, Bea Benaderet and Mel Blanc.
Is it Buddy Myers?
Yeah, John Myers.
Here's a link to dozens of photos of Gold Star Studios in 1959, featuring Larry Levine, Eddie Cochran, Stan Ross, etc.
Wes Montgomery, Cannonball Adderly and Orrin Keepnews...
C'mon baby, stop acting so crazy--Jimi behind the boards

That's a great shot. Electric Ladyland sessions at the Record Plant.

Nice shot of Radiohead's analog multitrack machines--maybe someone here recognizes the make & model:
Nope. However, I do recognize the awesomeness.
Sassy belts...Sarah Vaughan in the studio
Geoff Emerick and Oasis (Noel and Gem pictured) at Abbey Road while recording 'Within You Without You' for the BBC Sgt. Pepper 40th Anniversary tribute.
I'm sure someone here could identify the others...
Separate names with a comma.
