Neil Innes is a treasure, for sure. "I'm the Urban Spaceman" did make a 50 greatest songs of the '60's list a few years ago.

Tea has been legal in Canada for six months now. Wouldn't have happened without the Rutles. Now if only they would legalize sugar...

Saw this once years and years ago. It was ahead of its time, and too smart for the room my TV was in.

The Chinese drank coffee until The Rutles, since then it's been nothing but brew, brew, brew.

It's gonna be a long time before they legalize biscuits. Look what biscuits did to Ron during the recording of Let It Rot...sad

It didn't need remixing. The mystery is why Tragical History Tour was passed over.

for a long time I preferred the Rutles over the Beatles - it wasn't until I deep dived on the latter, thanks to a Beatles fanatic friend, that I became a fan.

    Brilliant !
The play on letters never occurred to me like that for some reason !

    * seriously ! It's so obvious now that you pointed it out - it's hard to believe, I just never thought of "Ono". We hear John's great "Oh Yeeaaaaaaah !" on "Glass Onion", I just thought Neil was merely inverting that to "Oh no". (!)

    that's really great

The hilarious fact that Innes sued Oasis and now gets a songwriting credit on one of their songs says everything about The Beatles and the their top two tribute acts.

Dirk and Stig should've continued on as a duo.

    I love the Rutles!!!

I've heard of a Rutles tribute band that is supposed to be very good. I think they call themselves The Beatles........for some odd reason.
