Since DSD is storing only (?) differences in output level steps - and not absolute levels - would it be possible to maximize the output of an SACD player "ad infinitum"? And how does a DSD recording "know" how loud a given sound event has to be in absolute terms, let's say a drum hit? I don't know if you guys know what I mean - it's rather unclear to me either - but do you have any insights or comments that a non-techie like me may be able to understand? Cheers (and PEACE!) Thomas
