I wanted to share some sad news with you. Warren Jarrett passed away a few days ago. A sad loss to our SH Forums community.

Those of you who knew Warren from here or if you purchased Audio Note UK gear from him, and those of you who knew him personally, you'll all agree what a great guy he was.

That's all the info I have at the moment.. Rest in peace, pal.

Sad to hear. I enjoyed corresponding with him over the years. I knew he had a lifetime of health problems and had spent a lot of time in the hospital lately. I’ll miss his enthusiasm for audio.

Very sad. He had been in my thoughts lately for some reason. I came close to asking if anyone had heard from him because I hadn’t seen any activity. I didn’t know him but for the short time I’ve been on this forum, I’ve enjoyed his posts.

    He will be sorely missed.

He seemed like a really good person, always willing to share experiences and help others, and at the same time learn from others too. Take care Warren, you will be missed.

I last texted with Warren a few weeks ago.

He was in the hospital and supposedly going back to rehab.

He never responded to my last text, but that hasn’t been unusual lately.

Warren was a friend and great teacher. I learned a lot from him and Steve about listening - odd that you have to learn.

Warren was always teaching, and asking me what I heard. Then we would hear the same thing on a different system, and analyze.

Warren encouraged me to disagree with him, and I frequently did!

It’s fair to say that even though I knew Warren for only a relatively short time (5 years or so, I think), I will remember him as one of the most influential on my life.

I’m just starting to process this.

R.I.P., my friend. I hope that you are listening to your favorites, with the sound lively, as your like it, with a great soundstage, excellent separation and bass, mids and highs that match perfectly together.

If he can, I know that Warren will be reading this thread.

  15. This has been such a time of loss in recent months. Warren Jarrett’s passing won’t make it any easier. His missives on this forum and the correspondence that branched from there were smart, thoughtful, and informative. My heartfelt condolences go out to Steve and all of Warren’s close friends, associates, and family.

Such sad news. I loved the passion he had for the pursuit of audio perfection. I like to think a little of it rubbed off on anyone who met him or even read his posts.

Oh no, what sad news! Warren and I only communicated in this forum; I didn't know him personally but enjoyed talking about NHT's different speakers with him which both of us were fans of. He will be missed by many.

    Oh, no. :(

So sorry to hear this. A great guy, very open-minded -- and open-hearted. I'm very sorry I couldn't take him up on his generous invitation to his home to just hang, enjoy music and such. He seemed like a real mensch. RIP Warren.

My condolences to you Steve, and all his friends and family.
