In the opening PBS Dem Debate sketch, I thought that SNL really missed an opportunity with Yang. How could SNL not include a whipped cream can prop??? The fruit couldn't be any easier to reach for a timely parody.

Here's the YouTube link for those that are clueless as to what I'm talking about:

Here's a vintage skit from Eddie back when they were written so that everyone could laugh at themselves.

I'm sure some people felt offended by that sketch. It makes some pretty pointed racial observations...

I think the Mayberry skit from the Ron Howard episode might be the most insensitive skit in SNL history. Alas, I can't find it online at all. Eddie as Floyd The Barber was hilarious.[IMG]

Homophobia, racism, sexism, domestic abuse... it was a smorgasbord of offensiveness!

Comedy can be rough for some people to swallow...to most it's all in fun ...remember the days when one laughed at the great skits...now they need a rule book.

I had been looking for this one for a while. Finally found it today.

A lot of smart social criticism in that song. I wonder if the audience understood it (all) at the time.

Seeing this for the first time as a kid will stick with me forever. Even at age 13 I knew I just saw some absolute brilliance. It still holds up and is just as funny.

Adam Driver is Oscar-nominated for Best Actor for Marriage Story this year. And is a main character in the most recent Star Wars trilogy.

You don't know any JJ Watt movies? Shame on you!

Seriously, though - you've never heard of RuPaul? He's been famous for what, 25+ years???

I think Watt is the first SNL host I’ve ever had to look up.... or at least since the last time an athlete hosted.

Adam Driver will probably be good. JJ Watt might be okay. Atheletes usually aren't very good, but there are sight gag opportunities aplenty just with his size. Rupaul/Bieber? That looks like a miss (to me) if ever there was one. Not sure I'll even bother.
