Pete Davidson's Best SNL Sketches: Watch Chad, 'Rap Roundtable' & More - Variety Pete Davidson And Naomi Scott To Star In David Michod’s ‘Wizards!’ – Deadline Kenan Thompson on Whether Samuel L. Jackson Is “Banned” From SNL – The Hollywood Reporter
I'm no fan of Moffat, but he's actually grown on me a bit. But I have no idea how Day made the show. While watching last week's show, I asked my wife how did he make the show? During the auditions most cast members usually roll out some kind of impression or characters they've created (and usually both). I've never seen either from him on any episode.
Akira Yoshimura has been a production designer on SNL since season 1 and has played many bit parts over the years. Probably the most famous is Mr. Sulu in several Star Trek sketches. Akira Yoshimura 1976: 1982: 2017: 2021:
Having been recently watching my golden era of Seasons 12-15 and then comparing them to what is going in now, it really is like night and day for me. I still faithfully watch SNL on a weekly basis but it mostly goes in one ear and out the other. Best of luck to all the graduating cast of 2022. Once u have your own show or star in your own movie, its really is time to move on.
I'm fine with those reported to be leaving and wouldn't mind another half dozen or so to follow those out the door.
I've liked Kyle Mooney ever since he was a regular on Norm McDonald's sports-related show. Aidy Bryant is under-rated. She nails it every time she insightfully portrays those middle-aged women characters. She's a great talent who is likable and has a real star quality.
I like all the cast members who are said to be leaving, but I also think turnover is good for the show.
Kenan's personality is enough to guarantee him lifetime employment on television. Whenever he gets tired of the SNL grind, he can always move to the easy money of hosting a game show. Once Pat Sajak retires from Wheel of Fortune, Kenan should just step right in to that role. It's an established program, and he's a first-rate talent.
In the most recent episode of the WTF podcast Michael Che expressed his desire to do more standup in the future, because it's what he enjoys doing the most. Could he be headed out as well? Aidy Bryant will be missed, she was always enjoyable and had great timing.
