    I was in Best Buys yesterday and there were two teenage boys in front of me on line. I placed them at about 17-18 years old. As they were unloading their basket I happen to notice some of their selections. Along with some computer peripherals that they were buying were a number of CD's.

    They had;
    The Complete Robert Johnson Collection (Sony 2 CD set)
    The Best of John Lee Hooker (Rhino 2 CD set)
    The Essential Lightin Hopkins
    Eat a Peach
    The Velvet Underground and Nico

    Now here's the best part they had 2 copies of the Velvet Underground CD one for each of them. I asked them if they were buying these CD's for themselves and they said yes. I told them that I thought they have great taste in music.
    Did my old heart good.

    I was reading this article, Elton John saying teen girl angst is so absolutely BS and phony and that the music today is so corporatized, so it may just be the time to start going after the past in true awareness of what was great then.

    Hopefully there are more kids out there like this.
