It's almost a given that when a film makes money, the follow up is coming but some of them should've left well enough alone...The Klupps-really Eddie?...Rocky II-Sly take your Oscar and do something different...Die Hard 2-really?...Creed II-no...Jaws II-leave the poor fish alone...The Fly 2-fly away already...what cha got?

The Sting II - no Redford, no Newman, no Shaw. What the hell were they thinking? It's one thing to make a sequel with good intentions, but...whoa.

I hope Jackie Gleason made a fortune, though.

Superman 3 and 4 (with Christopher Reeve). One and two were great, then what happened?

Surely Rocky V and Jaws: The Revenge are the bigger crimes against cinema. Rocky II and Jaws 2 are enjoyable, if flawed.

The Exorcist II. It is bizarre and has some truly creepy moments, but adds nothing to the original. I have heard that the theatrical version had run time cut off shortly after release to make it less unnerving to endure. I have seen it a few times on DVD and once on VHS and don't know if they were the cut versions or not. I am a HUGE fan of the orginal, but pay little attention to II.

Except entertainment. I enjoy "G2" more than the original - very different movies...
  24. Oh God, Bad Santa II was so horrible, I forgot about that movie.

Major League 2 did absolutely nothing new, other than having the boys no longer being complete underdogs.

A lot of sequels here have a reason to exist. You may not like them, but they provided something different from the original.
