You're talking about the plot being implausible. I'm talking about the motive for the crime being implausible. There's a difference.
Holy moly! The thing I love the most about this show is that nothing is predictable. I’ve been consistently surprised every episode. Helly’s outie’s big reveal nearly made me plotz!
Loved it! I just hope we find out exactly what they are doing with those numbers and what the deal is with the baby goats in season two.
I have to respectfully disagree. I think there are loads of paths they could take it down. I think it's very exciting! It's the best TV I've seen for ages and ages! I just wish I hadn't found out about it until it's all over so I could have binged about 6 seasons in a weekend!
Why would a corporation who wants to make a ton of money take the most visible person and basically enslave them? That's just bad business.
I'm guessing there's gonna be more to it than that. I do know if feels like my head's being severed trying to keep the 2 versions of everyone seperate
I’m not sure what you are talking about. We don’t know what the corporation does or if money is their goal. And no one is enslaved. Everyone chose severance. Are we watching the same show?
*goddamnit this spoiler function is confusing. Avert your gaze: Kind of agree here. Especially about main dudes wife. They've never showed her as an outie. Is she kept in a Lumin dungeon overnight's or something? Or rides an elevator up to a top floor penthouse in the same building so her memory becomes that of an outie? Maybe they were saving those scenes for S2. In which case, that is a hell of a long game to play. Relieved main dude got to see the photo of her right at the end. The finale was just gripping. The 40 minutes it took seemed like about 15.
Im confused about how "The Board" fits in. Ms. Cobol gets fired for (among other things) not telling the board about Helly's suicide attempt. But everyone (including Helly's outie, since she wakes up strangling) knew about it right away as its said that Hellie would be out for a few days (presumably in the hospital). It makes it seem like "The Board" isn't part of the Eagen insiders club. Probably just over thinking it.
how on earth do you know that? there are a ton of unknowns in this show and that's definitely one of them.
The crime is Mark's wife and what happened to her; this was obviously a well thought out plot on the part of Lumon to obtain test subjects. Think about the exchange between Cobel and Milchik while watching the video that last "therapy" session between Mark and Ms. Casey. Milchik comments on how they don't remeber each other as confirmation of severance's success.
Good theory but I’m not ready to assume Gemma was severed unwillingly. So far every character did so of their own free will. Maybe she did as well.
Mark would have known about that, and they've given no indication that was so, but we'll learn more in a year or so.
He wouldn’t know about it if she didn’t want him to. There are a lot of ways they could go with that story and I can’t wait to see what they choose.
