Today I found a Tom Petty southern accents on Quiex vinyl and it sounds amazing! Now I need a Van Halen 1984 and some R.E.M. Titles and I'll be all set.

I received a copy of Souther accents a couple days ago aswell! Nice to read that it sounds nice. I haven't had the chance of listening to it since it yet needs a good cleaning, but it will be spinning this weekend!

I mentioned this earlier, but would like to know: were stock pressings of Randy Newman's "Trouble in Paradise" pressed on quiex type vinyl? Any info. would be appreciated.

My stock copy of Trouble isn't on quiex type.

My 1995 original pressing of The Jayhawks Tomorrow the Green Grass is on translucent vinyl. Maybe that's why it sounds so good.

Do you happen to have a photo of this one? One thing's for sure - the "original pressing" of Ten didn't even come out on vinyl until 1994.

I guess someone at Discogs didn't believe me so I had to take some bad photos. I need a light table to photograph these things well!

Today I found a great sounding R.E.M. Reckoning with Quiex type transparent purple vinyl. Sterling stamp with red label, nice NM- vinyl and cover. Thank you SH Forum!

I found one today that really surprised me, I was about to put this record on the turntable and the light of the TT stop button helped me discover it was a quiex type translucent vinyl. Its Flex-able by Steve Vai, I'm not familiar with all the variations but my copy is like this one (but labels are green)

This is a rather small label right? Never imagined they would end up pressing records using this type of vinyl

I don't know how I discovered it, but I remember way back when, I discovered that my copy of "One Night In Bangkok" by Murray Head (12" single) looked black, but was a translucent brown when held up to light. I've never seen a record like that before, or since. I haven't looked for one though...Now I'm going too. I have some of the records mentioned above.

I went to my bin of records that has my Van Halen. My 1984 is solid, but my 5150 is Quiex.
I checked a few other records in that bin, but didn't find any more.
