Thanks for the news. I thought that 2001 documentary on Ocean's 11 was pretty good. It covered their Vegas shows, etc. It is available on Netflix.

The just-announced HBO documentary would appear to be the fulfillment of a project Nancy Sinatra has been hinting about for many years. See this thread at the SFF: Frank documentary.

I think it was "The Story Behind Ocean's 11" from 2002

That 8mm footage Nancy refers to in her first post sounds pretty interesting to me. Maybe some silent home movies from a Capitol recording session? Pretty unlikely but man wouldn't that be something!

As long as they don't ask Al Pacino to play Frank, I am in!

It's not a biopic. Only Frank will play Frank.

With all the talk in the past year about a feature film directed by Martin Scorsese, there's ample room for confusion. :D

BTW: For years, Nancy Sinatra has insisted this would be a 10-hour TV mini-series in five 2-hour parts. They have that much documentary material. Yesterday's press reports claim it will be just four hours total. If accurate, the Sinatra family has obviously had to lower its expectations.

Anyway this is great news for Frank fans.

Thank goodness Scorsese isn't involved...his recent music documentaries have not been very engrossing, IMO.

True, but there's always the possibility of an extended version for home video.

And I for one will be right there standing in line for that.
