Until I first saw Slade live, which was Reading 1980 when they were a last minute replacement for Ozzy Osbourne, like many in the UK my exposure to them had been on television.

what a shame... I never saw them live.
    Onlu on Television.

but I've got all their LP's.... (and now... a few CD's)...

I red yesterday from "Old, New, Borrowed and Blue":
Noddy, Don, Jim... they allways took a big laughter, sometimes pissed themself when Dave came out the dress room before starting a concert.

Dave answered them: **** off...you lot.
Our songs... You write them... I SELL them...
    .........
Maybe it's not completely untrough... :D

Hopefully, I have posted all of their UK charting singles in chronological order. This is their last UK charting single from the seventies, Dave showing off his new hair cut!

I think by this point he had just taken off his wig :D
Noddy has an Ian Dury vibe going on in that clip...

A song from my favourite album by Slade, Whatever Happened To Slade, released in 1977

Thought this was/is excellent Slade cover (surprised no one's mentioned or posted):

    Here's a heavier than usual glam-pop Sweet
    (Intro shades of Black Sabbath)
-Wrong album cover; lp is Sweet Fanny Adams
