Today i listened two jazz vinyls, one from Clifford brown/Max roach/Herb geller and others, and the other from Lee konitz and Warne marsh.
Started the day with the first solo Gregg Allman set Laid Back which is just downright beautiful in a sad, soulful, lonely way. It gave me some early morning comfort.
Just spun the FM movie soundtrack (which was an odd purchase for me given that I have every song on the 2-LP set on other albums.)
In the gym earlier, I was listening to the Kingfish album (20 years old Blues artist), new Hold Steady album, and from You Tube, The Beach Boys from a concert in Paris, 1969.
This already exists (& for a long time) in 2 ways/threads. On first, below, I think new editions begin when thread reaches 10,000 posts (& it's not for the year '81; that's not how the thread has been, nor is it currently.) Once it does reach it's conclusion @ 10,000 posts, link is given on that closed thread for the new one; it directly links you. That's why there's not much action here. It's helpful to utilize thread search to find what you're looking for before creating another thread that's essentially the same. (Gorts may end up combining 'em.) https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/what-are-you-listening-to-now-part-81.872676/ https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/what-albums-did-you-listen-to-today.765236/page-241
I'm listening to the Searchers 'Complete PYE Recordings 1963-67' in the car these days. I'm just starting disc 3 of 6 in this set. It'll be a few more days before I move on to the next thing. The National. It’s been mostly them for me the past couple months. With a little Elton John thrown in here and there.
