I remember on first run I couldn't get into it. I was a big fan of Soap but Mary Hartman just didn't grab me.

It was also my introduction to Fred Willard. I took an immediate dislike for him that I carry to this day whenever I see him as a guest on some current sit-coms.

Does Dinosaurs from the nineties count? The show was more geared to kids but was was pretty funny none the less. I'm pretty sure I still have a VHS of some of the episodes stashed away somewhere.

For a couple years I was jokingly known as "Not-Da-Mama" around my house.

I've got the whole series of this on DVD. It came with the Alice set I ordered some years ago. The Flo presented in Alice and the Flo presented in her own sitcom are quite different but I do still like "Flo".

How about a show that was a unique bomb in the catalog of its star - Lucille Ball? "Life with Lucy" was an absolute disaster from beginning to end. Even Gale Gordon couldn't save it. The family was completely nondescript and the writing was positively archaic as she insisted on keeping the writing team that had been writing for her since "I Love Lucy". Said writing absolutely killed the show and Lucy wasn't up the physical comedy that had been her stock and trade for so long.

Hooperman with John Ritter and The Slap Maxwell Story with Dabney Coleman.

Really enjoyed both of them - had only seen Ritter in Threes Company, which I hated, and loved him in this - and was disappointed that they came and went so quickly.

And, of course, Sharon Tate auditioned to be one of the daughters; there's a pic of her posing with the other two and Bea Benaderet.

Another 90s show that's probably mostly forgotten since it only ran for about 15 episodes on ABC - TOWNIES - with Molly Ringwald, Lauren Graham, and Jenna Elfman.

I know it didn't have a long run, but I loved "Hello, Larry". I was 10 years old when it debuted in 1979, and it struck a chord with me. I always loved McLean Stevenson, and being that my parents were recently divorced (and my father was moving on with his life) he was the perfect surrogate "TV Dad". And who could forget Kim Richards as one of my first "TV Girlfriend" crushes.

Melba - starring Melba Moore. It premiered the day of the Challenger disaster and was cancelled within days, with the remaining episodes burned off in the summer.

    A Year At The Top

A short-lived summer replacement series in the 1970s starring Greg Evigan and Paul Shaffer. The premise was that the Son Of The Devil (SOTD) would offer a deal to someone for a year of fame and fortune in exchange for their soul. The two lead characters were being tempted by the SOTD, and one woman who had taken the deal tried to warn them but couldn't because of her contract with the SOTD (when she tried to warn them all she could speak was gibberish).

Not a lot of people seemed to like this show then or now, but I did.

I watched a couple of them a few years ago at an archive and didn't care for it any more than I did when it originally aired.

    Steambath

This show started out as a play broadcast on PBS and it got attention because it featured nudity. It featured a group of people in a steambath which is apparently a Waiting Room in the Afterlife, where people are waiting to go to their final destination. Later, (if I remember correctly) it became a sitcom on Showtime. I rarely hear anything about this show.
