Songs intentionally played at the wrong speed

Not a mastering thread, just a fun/silly one

Post any song that's been purposely slowed down or sped up from its normal speed

For example, "Smells Like Teen Spirit", actually the chorus comes out sounding like the South Park characters haha

 

The Chipmunks Punk album slowed down is actually...really good, at times.

 

With Skip being your avatar, here's an obvious one - Moby Grape and Just like Gene Autry - A foxtrot.

 

Jolene at 33.3 is better than the original.

Looking more for a real song that somebody has changed the speed, like in my example.

 

Not sure, I've never heard the original. It counts if it's not how it was officially released speed wise.

 

Another example I posted on another thread,

"Convoy" 45rpm slowed down to 33

 

Is this for real? Her Tennessee county drawl seems to have totally vanished.
Sounds pretty good though.

 

The thread title and the OP's actual stated criteria are a bit at odds here, and this is what first occurred to me when I saw the title.

To be real technical, the song itself hasn't been slowed down or sped up at all — it simply plays at a different speed than the rest of the tracks surrounding it.

 

I don't know if anyone can help me out here but...
If you play the 45 of Nancy Sinatra's ' These Boots Are Made For Walking ' at 33 1/3 it sounds like a great R&B cover version.

 

Well, it’s real in that that is what the song sounds like slowed down with a bit of pitch shift.

 

The mind boggles. I'll try it out if I can dig out my 7" one day...

 

This will always be my favorite example of slowing something down.

Strawberry Fields Forever is the first one I thought of.

 

Billy Joel Cold Spring Harbor sounds a lot like Billy Joel if you slow it down!

 

I first played Haim’s first song on their first album at 33.3 instead of 45.

A really cool, male-singer, emo song emerged.

 

This cover of Hallowed be thy name sounds better at 1.25X

 

Emerald at 1.25X sounds like Iron Maiden with Paul Di'anno

 

i used to spend hours speeding up badfinger's 'day after day' with my finger on the seven inch single and convinced myself that it was the beatles in disguise - will have to try it with digital means one day, but give it a go - every part of it sounds like the fabs!

 

As soon as I saw this thread, I thought the first mention would be Kylie Minogue sounding like Rick Astley when the Locomotion 45 rpm single is slowed down to 33.
