It's actually a pet peeve of mine. "and" is a conjunction so starting a song with "and" connects it to nothing. That being said I'm sure there are lots of them My Love - Paul McCartney ".and when I go away" Walk Away Renee - Left Bank "And when I see the sign that points one way" Iris - Goo Goo Dolls "And I'd give up forever to touch you…" Mrs. Robinson - Simon & Garfunkel "and here's to you Mrs. Robinson" Others?
"That's What Friends Are For" by Burt Bacharach (music) and Carole Bayer Sager (lyrics) "And I never thought I'd feel this way..." Carole had to stick the "and" in because Burt wouldn't modify the melody he wrote.
"And if I say to you tomorrow Take my hand, child come with me" - Led Zeppelin, "What Is And What Should Never Be"
Talking Heads 'And She Was' Though technically David Byrne shouts 'hey' before the first lyric 'And she was lying in the grass And she could hear the highway breathing And she could see a nearby factory'
"And I Love You So" are the first words of the Don McLean song of the same name, which became a hit for Perry Como. And they called it "Puppy Love" -- a hit for Paul Anka and later for Donny Osmond
"And The Sun Will Shine" (1968), one of my favorite early Bee Gees songs, begins with Robin singing "And the rain will fall.." here's a live version from 1974:
"Future Legend" - first track on Bowie's Diamond Dogs: And in the death, as the last few corpses lay rotting on the slimy thoroughfare...
"And the rain will fall..." is the first line of the Bee Gees' song "And the Sun Will Shine." And I see I was beaten to it... great minds and all that...
"And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going," the tour de force from Dreamgirls first made famous by Jennifer Holliday, starts with the title words.
