I can only think of V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N by Connie Francis, and Saturday Night by The Bay City Rollers. Are there more?

The lyrics don't include the spelling out of the word.

    Here's a weird twist---

The Peppermint Rainbow (we're already getting obscure) did a song called Rosemary. Each of the song's lyrics begins with the next letter.

    For instance:

Run inside my life and hide
    Ou there, somewhere
    See...

    You get the idea.

"S-P-A-M-P-I-N-A-T-O, Spampinato" from "Spampinato" by NRBQ--written after the band got tired of seeing Joey's name mispelled in articles and reviews.

Also "Ragg Mopp!" which got redone by Allan Sherman as "Ratt Fink!"

I'm talking about "T-R-O-U-B-L-E" not "Trouble" (or am I completely missing something??)

Apologies to Capt. Cadillac. I missed your post, which was first.

I was obviously missing something. Sorry.

  18. "R-O-C-K in the U.S.A." by John Cougar Mellencamp?
    Well, it's half spelled out...heh

Anyone remember the S.N.L. Gilda Radner skit where she played aging singer Patty Caldwell? She had a song called "F-U-L-L-F-I-L-L-M-E-N-T" on her album "Stretch Marks". If you see it, it's pretty dang funny.

    "I'm Henry VIII, I Am" by Herman's Hermits: "H! E! N-R-Y!"
"Give Him a Great Big Kiss" by the Shangri-Las: "I'm in love L-U-V" (OK, it's misspelled)
"Hollaback Girl" by Gwen Stefani: "My (bleep) ain't bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S"
The "Mickey Mouse Club Theme" (both opening and closing versions): "M-I-C, K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E"
    "L-O-V-E (Love)" by Al Green

On a slightly different vein, there's "C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S," first popularized by Eddy Arnold in 1949. Each letter in the word stands for a different facet of the holiday, kind of like "L-O-V-E" by Nat King Cole in that regard.

"I'm a Woman" (lots of artists have recorded this):

    "'Cause I'm a woman, W-O-M-A-N, I'll say it again"

"Cadillac" (Bo Diddley, remade by The Kinks and others):

    "C-A-D-I-L-L-A-C"

Does spelling out an abbreviation count? If so...

"Tallahassee Lassie" (Freddie "Boom Boom" Cannon):

"'Cause she's my Tallahassee Lassie, way down in F-L-A"
