A Flock of Seagulls - "I Ran". When I hear the drum break I instantly think of Ali Score (while proceeding to air drum).

Wang Chung - very creative how they went about this. As crazy as it is to watch, I love the effect.

Also the juxtaposition of singing "everybody have fun tonight" while having the straightest face.

    Leave It - Yes
    Open Your Heart - Madonna

Really anything by Madonna, her and MJ were the video gods and my brain immediately goes to the videos when I hear most of their songs.

This: California Girls - David Lee Roth

...And, pretty much any Van Halen, Pat Benatar, Duran Duran + Huey Lewis And The News songs ~
They had the most clever, entertaining music videos of the 80s definitely & probably all-time! If an alien ever came down & wanted a synopsis of U.S. life in the 80s,
hand 'em any of the above artists' music videos! (But, w/some less attractive people mixed in...for "reality!")

For me, this one is easy: Cindy Lauper's cover version of the Robert Hazard song, "Girls Just Want to Have Fun".
