Don't know how I missed this one, either. Though I suppose a couple of caveats should be attached to it: It works as long as you ignore that the first thing Laura sings is a couple of rounds of "Ooh, la la la." And as long as you don't mind that the song's title is "Emmie," but in the lyrics the name is rendered as "Emily." "Emmie" – Laura Nyro

Malcolm Holcombe - Cynthia Margaret Singer-songwriter from North Carolina. "Cynthia Margaret" is a track from his album "Gamblin' House", released in 2008 on Echo Mountain Records. "Cynthia Margaret is an angel o' mine Steady and strong as the stars in the sky Blown by the breeze of God's holy eye And Cynthia Margaret is an angel o' mine"
A timely reappearance of this thread, as I was just thinking yesterday of a couple more entries for it: "Josie" – Donovan "Guinevere" – Donovan "Guinevere" – Crosby, Stills and Nash
The first word in Cecelia is Celia. I always wondered if they tried it full name and decided it was too silibance-y for the first word of the song.

One I heard for the first time ever a few minutes ago, courtesy of a Four Seasons double CD recommended on this very forum because most of the 60 hits are in mono (hooray!!). I know the hits like the back of my hand, but this set also has some album cuts that are new to me, like this one: "Marcie" – The Four Seasons Have to admit this is special to me, because this was my sister's name (even spelled this way). She was killed in a car accident several years ago. I still miss her so much.
Kayleigh - Marillion Rosanna - Toto Dinah-Moe Hum - Frank Zappa Lucille Has Messed My Mind Up - Frank Zappa Evelyn, A Modified Dog - Frank Zappa
Rhiannon Giddens - Julie From her second solo album "Freedom Highway", released in 2017 on Nonesuch Records. "Julie, oh Julie Won't you run 'Cause I see down yonder The soldiers have come"
Natalie Merchant - Ophelia Title and opening track from her second album, released on Elektra Records in 1998. Natalie Merchant's song is a reference to Ophelia, the tragic character from Shakespeare's "Hamlet", who loses her mind and ends up drowning. "Ophelia was a bride of God A novice Carmelite In sister cells The cloister bells tolled on her wedding night"
