Home Is Anywhere You Hang Your Head - Elvis Costello & the Attractions
Yes - Going For The One
Dire Straits - Tunnel Of Love
Peaches & Herb - I Pledge My Love
The Beach Boys - California Girls
School’s Out by Alice Cooper
My baby don’t care Ticket to Ride The Beatles
Cream - White Room
Primal Scream - Gentle Tuesday
West of Hollywood, Steely Dan
FM, guitar version, that's Walter
My favorite SD song is FM, that's certainly one of the all time great fades. The one with the guitar outro, not the sax version. Walter is great on that one
A similar but great fade is the Eagles "I Can't Tell You Why", same kind of long atmospheric outro as FM
Before the Kiss, a Redcap Blue Oyster Cult
The Speed of Love Tone (David Sancious)
A fairly recent one, Big Thief - Not is a great song up to the outro and bonus it ends with an epic 2 1/2 minute guitar outro.
I like these two:
Al Jarreau - Alonzo
Al's voice mixes with the synth at the end.
Santana - Dance Sister Dance (Live)
Guitar mixes with the synth at the end.
The last minute of "The Way I Feel by Fotheringay is epic. Great bass run, great drumming and guitars as well.
It's an odd song structure in that the intro fades in but the the ending is a "proper full band ending.
Stylistically it prefigures the sound of The Stone Roses by 20 years.
I don’t think anyone’s mentioned ‘Dry The Rain’ by The Beta Band
Lou Reed’s Perfect Day (“you’re going to reap...”)
Bruce - Jungleland
Elton - Funeral For A Friend / Love Lies Bleeding
David - Young Americans + Station To Station + Wild Is The Wind
Dire Straits - It Never Rains + Love Over Gold (those Mike Mainieri's vibraphone notes...)
Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer (i've been feeding the rythm...)
Pat Metheny Group - Third Wind
Oscar Peterson - Wave (that piano solo ending...)
Diana Ross - Ain't No Mountain High Enough (Alternate mix)
Michael Jackson - Man In The Mirror
Arctic Monkeys - A Certain Romance
I misread the thread i thought it said intro. Haven't got my glasses on.
Jackson's one of more of his wonderful outros
Genesis - It's Gonna Get Better
The last part is almost like a different song, set to the same beat.
Triumph Fight The Good Fight
God Only Knows and All This Is That by the Beach Boys.
