If I wrote the best for an outro before that wasn't this one,
    I was clearly forgetting this:
The last 29 seconds - the best guitar sound ever by anyone (on a recording anyway).

I like the long outro to Cat Steven's "Lillywhite" better than the rest of the song.

Be-Bop Deluxe - "Sound Track" from Futurama. 100% brilliant song and killer slow fade out outro.

Maybe not quite the best I've ever heard... but very memorable... the long acoustic end fade of PEACE TRAIN (Cat Stevens).
It seems to go on and on and on and on.......................... (but I like it!)

Maybe it’s already said in this thread. Maybe it was me, but the George Porter outro in Ain’t No Use is seven minutes of base god jam bliss

Many of my favorite outros have already been listed, but here is one I did not see that I think has a great instrumental outro with funky percussion and rhythm section and hard driving horn section,,,,

    Curtis Mayfield "Move On Up"

... and there is sort of an outro to the outro - listen, you'll hear what I mean....

And the song in general just makes you want to get up and dance.

At least half the Who’s songs. There’s a lot for people to critique with that band, but dang! Townshend and company know how the Hell to end a tune properly and with great panache.

Bo Diddley by Robert Clark from the album Smokin OPs. Love the way it seems like it ending and then BAM! It goes on for another minute or so.

Very hypnotic song that triggers an instant nostalgic response. I used to be obsesses with this song and I literally hadn't heard it in 20 years until this thread,
It will put some to sleep and send others into dreamland.

  23. Yes!

    I LOVE "Inside And Out".

Many years after the release of the "Follow You Follow Me" 45 rpm, I bought it in a second-hand record store - simply because it had this track, which at the time I had no idea existed.

The latter part being some of Tony's most effervescent keyboard work . Steve's guitar work is equally as interesting ; it kind of became a close to his tenure in Genesis.

    The whole track is fantastic!
