the real question is, what percentage of the time can you nail the exact music entry beat?

I'd recognise Fools Gold by the Stone Roses by the drums alone. It goes in and out of 4/4 and 6/4 which creates a nagging pull, and its probably the most iconic drum pattern of my generation. Impossible not to move your body to!

“Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush. I’d probably also recognize “Hounds of Love” and “Sat In Your Lap” for that matter.

Zigaboo's playing on The Meters is recognizable. Look-Ka Py Py and Rigor Mortis jump out.

    Funky Drummer - James Brown

    Chemical Wire - Firehose

    Satisfaction - Devo

Put a Straw under Baby - Eno

Waitin' for the Bus - ZZ Top

Off the top of my head:

Rush - Subdivisions, Circumstances, Spirit Of The Radio,Tom Sawyer
Led Zeppelin - Good Times Bad Times, When The Levee Breaks, Achilles Last Stand, D'yer Mak'er
Police - Peanuts, The Bed's Too Big Without You, Spirits In The Material World, Murder By Numbers, Shambelle

Of course those bands above have very distinctive drummers and probably my all-time Top 3 favorite in Rock Type context. With Neil being my favorite all-time drummer regardless of genre.

    Scorpions - Crossfire
    Yes - Changes
