Guys, I have a pair of Sony MDR-EX70LP "Earbud" type headphones.

They are great headphones, they do a great job of blocking the noise from the train during my morning commute.

Heres the problem: They use replacable soft plastic Earbuds. Well, I've lost a couple and I'm down to the last pair.

NOWHERE on the net do I see where I can buy the replacement buds.

I really hope i dont have to buy a whole another set of Headphones just to get the buds!!!

Does anybody out there in SH land use these and know where I can get 'em?

    thanks much!!

    Mikey

    Mikey,

Those drivers have an acoustic small stem that goes into the silicone bud? Or....?

No, silly, you just plant the old ones in the spring, and harvest them in the fall.

I had a pair of Sony headphones that required me to put new padding on the earpieces a couple of times. Both times I had to call a Sony service center to buy them. Unfortunately in addition to charging what seemed like an exhorbitant price for two small pieces of coated foam, the shipping and handling fee was quite steep.

You didn't mention whether you looked at Sony's website while searching for the part you need. If not, here's the URL:

I have a half-a-handful of ear pieces for cell phones. They're silicone, and look strange, because they're designed to form-fit the inside of your ear.

But the stem hole is a bit more than 1/4" in diameter. Those Sonys are more like < 1/4" in diameter, no?

I did search Sonys website, actually.

In any event, I think I've solved the problem....I'm going to crazy glue the buds I have left on the stem. I found I can still clean the stem even with the buds on. Much better than having to buy a a new set.

    Thanks for the posts!!
