Direct from Sony, a factory refurb. You won't find 'em new anywhere. This is probably the last affordable "audio-only" SACD carousel model from Sony. Not exactly a steal, but not bad considering the source.

Does that seem steep - $227?

Those bargain prices that some folks got with MFG warranties of $99- $139 sure seem like great deals now. Of course I've not had any complaints with mine at all.

Chris, I agree this model was much more attractive when it was >$200, but you can't even find one now. Any what could you buy at $227 that would even come close to this? Still a decent deal in my book.
